Infinity Eco Solutions International (Infinity ESI) holds the distribution rights to a process which has a solution that cleanses soil and water, rejuvenating 90% of soil and 100% of contaminated water. The recovered clean soil can be returned to its original site eliminating the expense of purchasing replacement clean topsoil.

This innovation sets Infinity ESI apart by fostering a commitment to developing and offering leading edge solutions across the whole contamination treatment industry.

Our diversity and ‘can-do’ attitude is our core strength. We apply our knowledge, resources and experienced consultants to work across a broad range of sectors, providing our clients with the expertise to meet their specific needs.

With limited EPA approved landfill sites that can accept Pfas soil, the process and results ensure reduction in the exorbitant costs and logistics required for removal of the contaminated soil.

On commencement, during and completion of the cleansing process our environmental consultants constantly run a series of tests monitoring progress to ensure the removal of the contaminates.

A certified report is given on completion of the remediated site.

Our research and development engineer has indicated that the treatment of the Pfas residual material can be dealt with via incineration. Infinity ESI’s incineration process and results are within US EPA guidelines and standards for the elimination of Pfas.

More about PFAS

Pperfluoroalkyl and polyfluoroalkyl substances, or PFAS, are man-made compounds that do not naturally degrade in the environment.

Also referred to as fluorochemicals or ‘forever chemicals’ due to their persistency in the environment and in humans, contain one or more carbon atoms whose carbon-hydrogen bonds are replaced by carbon-fluorine bonds.

The carbon-fluorine bonds are the shortest and strongest chemical bonds, hence their chemical reactive stability and persistency.

PFAS has excellent heat, chemical and thermal stability; stain, water and dirt repellence and wetting; and surfactant properties. Hence, they are used in a wide variety of products and processes:

  • Oil repellent treatments for carpets and rugs
  • Stain repellent treatments for textiles, leathers and fabrics
  • Waxes, polishes, paints, adhesives
  • Homewares: non-stick cookware, paper and food packaging
  • Pesticides
  • Industrial uses: firefighting foams, aviation hydraulic fluid, metal plating, electronic circuit board manufacture, and oil and gas production.

Environmental impact with water and land has also greatly affected the agriculture and horticulture ecosystem. Farming of meat and vegetable crops further impacts human health as PFAS passes through the food chain. Site remediation can be a costly and time-consuming process.

It can be a balance between remediating now or potentially being left with an issue that may be more costly to fix in the future.

Pfas treatment

The product is an insolubilising agent mainly composed of a natural inorganic mineral developed by the manufacturer and insolubilises harmful heavy metals contained in contaminated soil and incinerated ash.

  • On completion of soil treatment, the balance of the by-product from the Pfas chemicals is approximately 5% to 10%. The concentrated soil is in a form in which Pfas does not dissolve after drying, and when dried it becomes powdery and can be used as a fertiliser.
  • PFAS insolubilised by the product has no risk of ingestion.

Emissions

Our product is tailored to the type of contaminants present and are therefore suitable for all conditions.

In addition, it absorbs CO2 during the reaction, contributing to the suppression of global warming.

When the pollutants, magnesium oxide and calcium oxide meet water, the hydration reaction occurs and magnesium hydroxide, calcium and calcium hydroxide is generated and takes up harmful substances into its needle crystals or solid solution by absorption and on exchange ability.

Then, while taking in carbon dioxide gas (CO2) from the air and reacting, therefore forms magnesium carbonate and calcium carbonate. Harmful substances taken into the needle crystals or solid solution are crystallised and fixed.

By combining the natural inorganic minerals of the product and the environmental purification function of marine life from a Japanese university, high-performance wastewater purification has become possible.

The product can completely remove harmful substances from wastewater and wastewater containing harmful heavy metals.
